Welcome to New Zealand's
AWESOME ALPACAS
ABOUT US
Our life with alpacas started several years ago when we moved to the Wairarapa and our Real Estate Agent invited us to visit and meet her two pet boys.
Not long afterwards we bought our first two boys and our herd grew from there. We now have several cria with more on the way and we have purchased a couple of stud males.
MEET MASTERCLASS

IAR: 183244
Sire: Coonawarra Gladiator (Aus) Solid Black
Masterclass is a solid black alpaca, imported from Australia in early 2015. He has an impressive pedigree, fibre, and frame. His Australian Show record, both in the ring and in fleece classes are noteworthy. He’s sired many fine cria including one of our girls, Matisse.
Pedigree Matters: Masterclass includes in his pedigree such iconic Australia blacks as Coonawarra Dorchester and Timbertop The Scud, while outstanding white alpacas, represented by NWA Ltd Ruffo (Imp USA), and the irreplaceable Purrumbete Highlander, who have also added their quality into Masterclass’s heritage.
Masterclass is sired by Coonawarra Gladiator, a solid black who needs no introduction to Australian breeders of quality blacks. Gladiator is a multiple champion, siring numerous progeny, who themselves have consistent show records, including many championships. Gladiator is considered by many to be arguably the best black male in Australia, who passes on conformation together with fine, dense fleece, as well as crimp and lustre to his offspring.
ALPACA STUD SERVICES IN CARTERTON
We offer both on-farm and drive-by mating with our pedigree stud Masterclass.
OUR HERD
We started off with two wethers and thought that would be more than enough, but the alpaca draw is strong and now the numbers are getting closer to twenty. A mix of mature females and a growing number of younger girls and boys ensure that there is never a dull moment. They all have their own personalities and it’s a joy to watch them change and develop over time.

OUR FARM
Based 6kms east of Carterton in the sunny Wairarapa. Our small block has a wide range of animals – chooks, ducks, dogs and alpaca. We’re trying out techniques such as silvopasture and permaculture to integrate with our local climate and environment.
